In the 70s I was a big Planet of the Apes fan and there’s no way I could do a month of animals without including them. The reference had both a religious as well as sexual overtone like an old masters painting.  8x10 on 1/4 inch wood panel which was perfectly acquired for this painting especially from the old shelves at Pic A Flic Video Rental in Victoria.
